Description
Do you like to be active on the weekend? Be paid to have fun and make a difference in the life of a young man! Our fantastic Psych, Nursing and Engineering students have left us after many years to go on to full time work, so we need replacements. Energetic, empathetic, males required to be paid buddies to our 17 year old son who has ASD and ADHD.
Our son also has an intellectual disability, limited social and verbal skills, an awesome sense of humour and is very physically active. He needs caregiver buddies to go to Tree Adventures, Jump, swimming at the beach, pool or hot pools, horseriding, beach and bush walks, water slides, ten pin bowling, to the movies or to the gym etc. It is preferable that you are interested in/have experience with these types of actvities.
• Require two buddies to work at the same time for a 4-5 hour per period mostly on Saturdays (ie: 2 x 4 hours each).. Individuals can also apply.
• An understanding of Autism is preferable, or an interest to learn. Previous experience an advantage but not essential.
• Flexible around weekend days and times within reason.
• Mileage expenses when transporting client, admission fees and food reimbursed.
• Full drivers licence and use of a car is a must. Client lives on Hibiscus Coast.
