Seeking Support Worker for Autistic Teenager (Respite & Community Engagement)
I’m looking for a caring and reliable support person for my teenage autistic daughter. The primary focus is providing respite care and helping her engage more with the community in a supportive, understanding way. She benefits from gentle guidance and mentorship, especially with getting out of the house and exploring interests beyond screen time. Her current hobbies include watching TV, listening to music, shopping, and eating out. Walks are encouraged, as recommended by her optometrist, and I’d love to see her develop new hobbies and experiences. She experiences high anxiety and tends to mask heavily in public, so someone with experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals and managing anxiety would be ideal.
