View Job for Body Doubling and Executive Function Support for a Neurodivergent Adult

Kia ora! I am multiply neurodivergent (including autistic and ADHD) in my late 20s and I have a trained therapy dog who accompanies me everywhere. I am looking for support with my executive function and can be a body double while I complete tasks.

The role would be casual but regular and the hours flexible depending on our availability and my support needs that week. This would ideally be for around four hours a week across a couple of evenings or on the weekend but this is flexible.

I am looking for support to help keep me on track and to help me complete life admin tasks. A fair bit of this would be body doubling (being in the same space as me while I complete tasks which will help me stay motivated and focused).

I struggle with my executive function, so things like time management, organisation, and planning can be difficult for me to stay on top of. This role would also include things like helping me to prioritise tasks, make to-do lists and weekly schedules, and plan meals and grocery lists.

I can complete most daily living tasks independently but I would benefit from some support with meal preparation, cooking, and clean up as sensory hypersensitivity can make these tasks challenging at times.

Depending on mutual interests and availability, this role could also involve helping me to get out and about in the community. For example, running errands, taking part in recreational activities. Mostly this would be accompanying me and providing encouragement to achieve what I set out to achieve.

This role would be best suited to somebody similar in age who is looking for a relatively low intensity and flexible role providing peer support and motivating a neurodivergent adult.
