Hi there, my name is Marian and I am seeking a support worker for my son Sam. Sam is 23 and is Autistic and has developmental delay and Irlen Syndrome. We wanting an experienced support worker to begin working with Sam in late March 2023. The right person ideally would be someone who would be able to build a positive bond with Sam and support him with his every day tasks such as reading and writing and walks and gym sessions throughout the week. This position would be 5 days a week, 9:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Sam is enjoys building and collecting lego and sewing clothing. He is very passionate about music and dance and he attends Sole Music Academy once a week on a Wednesday afternoon for singing lessons. On Thursday mornings until lunchtime Sam works at Arts Integrated as a support tutor. He relies on taxi services for transport to and from his responsibilities and appointments during the week but you would need to able to use your own transport on occasions to help Sam travel to these community events and weekly activities. Sam is a kind and spiritual person who is easy to be around and someone with a sense of humour is a must!. He is an animal lover and loves to take walks to the park and attends gym sessions during the week.
